Jeep Compass is compact and nimble, combining SUV packaging along with the functionality and the performance, handling, fuel economy and price of a compact car or small pickup. Jeep Compass features a fully independent suspension system for comfortable on-road ride and handling and fun-to-drive characteristics.
In addition to its standard front-wheel-drive configuration, Jeep Compass also offers full-time, active four-wheel-drive system with lock mode called Freedom Drive I. This four-wheel-drive system features a lockable center coupling. The Jeep Compass 5-door in Sport and Limited models, features a fresh look with the versatility of five doors.
The standard 2.4-liter World Engine produces 172 horsepower with dual VVT. Available on the Jeep Compass Sport 4x2 model is a 2.0-liter World Engine providing 158 horsepower, coupled with a Continuously Variable Transmission-II. Jeep Compass models feature a standard five-speed manual transaxle.
